Accessibility
Calm should be available to everyone.
Bourn Legacy is in active development. Accessibility isn't a final step for us. It's how the product gets built. This page describes what we've already done, what we know we can do better, and how to ask us for what you need.
What we follow
WCAG 2.1 AA as our target.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level across the application. Pages are designed to work with keyboard navigation, screen readers, and the operating system's text-size and contrast preferences.
What's in place today
Practical defaults.
- —Semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks (header, nav, main, footer).
- —Visible focus states on every interactive control.
- —Color contrast tuned for our warm neutral palette; no information is conveyed by color alone.
- —Responsive type and layouts that adapt from small phones to large displays without horizontal scrolling.
- —Reflections are private by default and never time-limited. You can pause whenever you need to.
What we're still improving
Honest list.
- —Formal screen-reader audits across every page (in progress for the Founding 30 release).
- —Reduced-motion handling on a small number of decorative transitions.
- —Voice-input flows for journaling, which we'd like to add next.
Ask us for what you need
A person reads every request.
If something is hard to use, missing, or breaks for you, please tell us. Use the Contact page or write to accessibility@bournlegacy.com. We'll respond within a few business days.
